Julia is a writer from Massachusetts. Her debut novel, The One, was published by Putnam in April, 2023. She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Statistics and from the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers’ Program with an MFA in Fiction.
Courtney Brown
Programs Manager (she/her)
Courtney serves as Programs Manager for Not Sorry. Born in Louisiana and currently residing in the DFW area of Texas, Courtney received her BS in Secondary English Education at Louisiana State University Shreveport and taught ninth grade literature for five years before becoming full-time caretaker to her two kids.
She enjoys visiting her local library with her daughter and son, planning meals with an excess of condiment options, and testing craft cocktails her husband makes for their regularly scheduled neighborhood gatherings.
Mauricio Bruce
Host of The Real Question and What matters faculty member (he/him)
Born and raised in San José, Costa Rica, Mauricio is a transpersonal therapist and coach who believes in personal development and health through spiritual development. After a portentous dream and a long search, Mauricio traveled to the Andes where he studied medicine and spirituality with the Q’ero people of Perú. He has directed Umbral de la Montaña, a self-development and spirituality school in San José, Costa Rica, for the last twelve years, and he is an international teacher at Asersentido International, a life coaching school based in Santiago, Chile. He teaches with them in Chile, Perú, and the United States. He graduated with a Masters in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a BA in English and Film Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
AJ Jaramaz
Producer of Harry potter and the Sacred text and Let’s ask taylor swift (He/him)
AJ Jaramaz is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently lives in New York. He is a producer for Not Sorry, working across podcast projects and live shows while keeping our hosts sounding their most witty and excellent. He received his B.A. in English from UCLA, and enjoys making music and reading in his spare time.

Casper ter Kuile
co-host of Harry Potter and the sacred text (he/him)
Casper ter Kuile brings new possibilities for community and spirituality to life. He's the co-creator and founding co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, the co-host of The Real Question, and a board member of Not Sorry.
Casper is the author of The Power of Ritual (HarperOne, 2020) and the co-founder of Sacred Design Lab, a soul-centered research and development lab. A graduate of Harvard's Kennedy and Divinity Schools, he served as a Ministry Innovation Fellow for Harvard Divinity School from 2016-2021.
Casper's at his happiest when he's harmony folk singing, keeping his tech sabbath, or stopping for a tea break on a long country walk. Originally from England and Holland, he lives with his husband in Brooklyn, NY.
Hannah McGregor
co-host of hot & bothered (she/they)
Hannah is a professor and podcaster living on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (currently known as Vancouver, British Columbia). She is the co-host of Witch, Please, along with a variety of other scholarly podcasts, including Secret Feminist Agenda and The SpokenWeb Podcast. When she isn't yelling into a microphone about feminism, she's hanging out with her two extremely bad cats, Al Purrdy and Pancakes.
Norah Murphy
What matters Teaching assistant (she/her)
Norah is the Not Sorry teaching assistant for "What Matters" and our inaugural Romance Writing Workshop. She received her BA in English from Harvard College, and her M.Phil in Irish Writing from Trinity College Dublin. She was previously an intern for Hot & Bothered, and she now works in publishing. When she’s not reading for work, she’s reading for pleasure and finding excuses to bake cake.
Ariana Nedelman
Producer of Hot & Bothered and The real question (she/her)
Ariana Nedelman is the co-founder of Not Sorry, co-creator of all our podcasts, and currently produces Hot & Bothered and The Real Question. She has her BA from the University of Chicago and enjoyed a brief stint at Harvard Divinity School before dropping out to become a full time podcaster.
In her spare time, Ariana is working on an audio project called When We All Get to Heaven, which tells the story of how a LGBTQ Christian congregation responded to the HIV/AIDS crisis in 1980s and 90s San Francisco. She loves contra dancing, British panel shows, and reading aloud.
Matthew Potts
former Host, Harry Potter and the Sacred Text (he/him)
Matt grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Notre Dame with a BA in English. After a brief stint in the navy in Japan, he began graduate school and took both his M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard. He serves on the Harvard faculty now and teaches courses on religion and literature. He's also an Episcopal priest and has ministered to several congregations in Massachusetts. Matt is the co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text. He likes running, cooking, walking his dog, the Detroit Tigers, dessert, and doing nearly anything with his wife and kids. He also likes a lot of books.

Daniel is a culture critic and podcast producer living in Brooklyn, NY. He has created hit podcasts including Slate's In Case You Missed It, and the independent show All About Almodóvar.
Vanessa Zoltan
Ceo and Executive Producer of not sorry and Co-Host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, Hot & Bothered, and Let’s Ask Taylor Swift (she/her)
Vanessa is the CEO of Not Sorry. She hosts three of our podcasts: Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, Let’s Ask Taylor Swift, and Hot & Bothered. She founded Common Ground Pilgrimages in order to travel with brilliant faculty to beautiful places and talk about books with amazing pilgrims. It was a great trick she pulled off. She is also the author of the book, Praying with Jane Eyre.
Vanessa was trained as a non-denominational chaplain at Harvard Divinity School. She is a proud California girl who currently lives in MA with her gorgeous, blended family. Her Romance novelist pseudonym, if she ever publishes a Romance novel, will be Lorelai Mason, as you can see in her profile pic.
