Courtney Brown

Courtney serves as Projects Coordinator for Not Sorry. Born in Louisiana and currently residing in the DFW area of Texas, Courtney received her BS in Secondary English Education at Louisiana State University Shreveport and taught ninth grade literature for five years before becoming full-time caretaker to her two kids.

She super enjoys visiting her local library with her daughter and son, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, planning meals with an excess of condiment options, and testing craft cocktails her husband makes for their regularly scheduled neighborhood gatherings.

 
 
 
 

Malika Gumpangkum

Malika is based in Atlanta, G.A. and is the proud daughter of two immigrants from Thailand. She has a B.A. in English Literature from Emory University and an M.A. in Sound Arts from Northwestern University. She cut her teeth in audio production while working at NPR in Washington, D.C. Eventually, she went into sound design, edit and mixing for podcasts, feature films, short films, television broadcasting and more! She is a Consulting Editor for HAB and others.

 

Caitlin Hofmeister

Executive Producer (she/her)

Caitlin is a writer and producer from Missoula, Montana, where she lives with her husband and daughter. She loves learning and making things and gets to celebrate those loves by helping to produce Harry Potter & the Sacred Text, Hot & Bothered, and The Real Question. Previously, she was the long-time producer of the educational video and podcast series SciShow and before that she worked in independent film. She has her MFA in filmmaking from the University of Montana, and a BA in Creative Writing and Philosophy from Linfield University. Outside of her work with Not Sorry, she's currently trying very hard to write a novel and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, preferably with a cold beer.

AJ Jaramaz

AJ Jaramaz is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently lives in New York. He is a producer for Not Sorry, working across podcast projects and live shows while keeping our hosts sounding their most witty and excellent. He received his B.A. in English from UCLA, and enjoys making music and reading in his spare time.

Casper ter Kuile

Faculty and Frequent Guest Host (he/him)

Casper ter Kuile brings new possibilities for community and spirituality to life. He's the co-creator and founding co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, the co-host of The Real Question, and a board member of Not Sorry.

Casper is the author of The Power of Ritual (HarperOne, 2020) and the co-founder of Sacred Design Lab, a soul-centered research and development lab. A graduate of Harvard's Kennedy and Divinity Schools, he served as a Ministry Innovation Fellow for Harvard Divinity School from 2016-2021.

Casper's at his happiest when he's harmony folk singing, keeping his tech sabbath, or stopping for a tea break on a long country walk. Originally from England and Holland, he lives with his husband in Brooklyn, NY.

 
 

Norah Murphy

Teaching assistant (she/her)

Norah is the Not Sorry teaching assistant for "What Matters" and our inaugural Romance Writing Workshop. She received her BA in English from Harvard College, and her M.Phil in Irish Writing from Trinity College Dublin. She was previously an intern for Hot & Bothered, and she now works in publishing. When she’s not reading for work, she’s reading for pleasure and finding excuses to bake cake.

Ariana Nedelman

Producer of Hot & Bothered and The real question (she/her)

Ariana Nedelman produces Hot & Bothered and The Real Question. She has her BA from the University of Chicago and enjoyed a brief stint at Harvard Divinity School before dropping out to become a full time podcaster.

In her spare time, Ariana is working on an audio project called When We All Get to Heaven, which tells the story of how a LGBTQ Christian congregation responded to the HIV/AIDS crisis in 1980s and 90s San Francisco. She loves contra dancing, British panel shows, and reading aloud.

Colette Potts

Chaplain (she/her)

Colette is an educator, family therapist, and parent of three Harry Potter fans. She serves as chaplain on our pilgrimages, runs our HPST children’s classes, and shares a life with Matt Potts, the co-host of HPST. Colette also serves as our pilgrimage faculty training administrator.

Colette has worked with families across the developmental spectrum in settings ranging from urban public schools to rural homes, to help parents raise loving children, using caring communities to make it easier – and more fun.

Matthew Potts

Co-Host, Harry Potter and the Sacred Text (he/him)

Matt grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Notre Dame with a BA in English. After a brief stint in the navy in Japan, he began graduate school and took both his M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard. He serves on the Harvard faculty now and teaches courses on religion and literature. He's also an Episcopal priest and has ministered to several congregations in Massachusetts. Matt is the co-host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text. He likes running, cooking, walking his dog, the Detroit Tigers, dessert, and doing nearly anything with his wife and kids. He also likes a lot of books.

Hannah Rehak is a comedy writer, performer, filmmaker and podcast producer. She is a proud Chicago Public Schools and Macalester College alum with a background in critical race theory and media and cultural studies. Outside of her work at Not Sorry, she is the Executive Producer at Witch, Please Productions, an understudy at The Second City, and a headline contributor at Reductress and Humor Darling. In her free time, Hannah can be found doing improv, designing websites or rearranging her furniture. You can learn more about her at hannahrehak.com.

Lauren O. Sandler

Co-Host, Hot & Bothered: Live from pemberley (she/they)

Lauren Sandler is co-host of Hot & Bothered: Live From Pemberley, and a journalist and author. Her most recent book is This Is All I Got: A New Mother’s Search for Home, a 2020 New York Times Notable Book. Sandler’s journalism has appeared in dozens of publications including Time, The New York Times, Slate, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and New York. She has been on staff at Salon and NPR, a columnist at HuffPost, and has led OpEd Project fellowships at Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, and the University of Virginia. She lives in Brooklyn.

 

Naomi Westwater

Frequent ‘Not Sorry’ faculty (she/they)

Naomi Westwater is a queer, Black-multiracial singer-songwriter and producer from Massachusetts. They weave in and out of Folk music, flirting with rock and jazz. Naomi holds a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance and Production from Berklee College of Music. She was nominated for a 2021 Boston Music Award for best singer-songwriter. Margaret H. Willison

Communications Specialist and ‘Not Sorry’ Faculty Member (she/her)

Margaret H. Willison is a full-time team member at Not Sorry Productions, splitting her efforts between communication support for the whole company and serving as faculty for Not Sorry's virtual classes and Common Ground Pilgrimages. Beyond Not Sorry, Margaret is a culture writer and podcaster best known as one of the authors of the Two Bossy Dames newsletter and as a regular guest on NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour. When not posting to the internet for either business or pleasure, you can find Margaret dispensing on-call shopping advice to anyone in need, being unduly intense about a wide variety of trivia competitions, and attending nearly all concerts in the greater Boston area wherein any kind of woman plays any kind of guitar.

Vanessa Zoltan

Ceo of Not Sorry // Co-Host of Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, Hot & Bothered, and the Real Question (she/her)

Vanessa is the CEO of Not Sorry. She hosts three of our podcasts: Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, The Real Question, and Hot & Bothered. She founded Common Ground Pilgrimages in order to travel with brilliant faculty to beautiful places and talk about books with amazing pilgrims. It was a great trick she pulled off. She is also the author of the book, Praying with Jane Eyre.

Vanessa was trained as a non-denominational chaplain at Harvard Divinity School. She is a proud California girl who currently lives in MA with her gorgeous, blended family. Her Romance novelist pseudonym, if she ever publishes a Romance novel, will be Lorelai Mason, as you can see in her profile pic.
